Sometimes our interesting things are the things we have yet to learn. There are many new careers you can enter into with a certificate rather of a degree. Certificates often take less time. Sometimes even not a year, and in some cases, only a few semesters. Try to check the list of college and organizations in your local community and your surroundings to see which certificate programs and courses are offered in your own area. You may also learn through correspondence and distance learning.

If you wanted to learn another new language you may start with it -- when you become fluent you could become self-employed providing freelance translating services. There are many courses to become a registered nurse. You may opt it as a freelance and provide a home care to housebound patients.
It is never too late to learn a new skill or polish an old one, and it is never too late to start a business if you have the ambition and a marketable skill and know what you want to do.
